Senior Health Clinic

On March 15th at Zion from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm the Cerro Gordo County Department of Public Health will offer a Senior Health Clinic to county residents age 55 and older.  There is no charge.  However, contributions are encouraged in order to keep the clinic running.  The clinic is an annual health screening and does not replace a physician's care.  To make an appointment, call the Cerro Gordo County Department of Public Health: 641-421-9300 or Toll Free: 1-888-264-2581.

Elderberries is a monthly gathering of seniors age 65+, or however you choose to define yourself!  These meetings are generally held on the 4th Thursday, beginning at 2:00 in the afternoon, and include devotions, a program, and refreshments.  Zion seniors share in presenting the devotions.  Programs are on a variety of topics.  Some may provide information which is of specific interest or benefit to seniors, while others are inspirational or simply entertaining.  At each meeting we also celebrate with those who are observing a birthday.  We close the year with a special Christmas luncheon and music presented by high school students.  All are welcome to attend these meetings.
