Information – Health tips and related information is provided on an occasional basis through the Zion weekly newsletter, (“ZMail”), the Senior newsletter (“In Touch”) and on our Health Ministries bulletin board. We have also provided books and resources in the church library for caring and support group ministries.
Medical Equipment Lending Service - Zion Health Ministries has begun a free Medial Equipment Lending Service to anyone in the community. We have the following equipment in storage for use:canes, grabers, walkers (with & without seat), shower chairs, toilet risers, crutches and manual Hoyer lift. This equipment will be available, as our supply holds out, for anyone who might need something on a temporary basis, such as after a fall or hip or knee surgery. If you find you need it longer than 3 months, you can make arrangement to extend your time. If you have used equipment in good condition, donations are still being accepted. Contact Gaye at the office , 357-5261 for more information.

“We Care” Small Groups and “Health & Caring Ministries” are cooperating in a new project. If your small group would like to participate, here are some of the things you might do during the course of one month:
-
Deliver soup to someone who has just spent some time in the hospital.
-
Assist an older person with a small task
-
Be a friendly visitor or caller to an older person just to check in.
Perhaps someone would like to make a batch of homemade soup and rolls that we can have on hand here at the church. Just call Gaye to be a "servant" for Christ! |
Contact Gaye Scott if you are interested in serving on one of these teams, or if you need assistance as a caregiver or upon returning home from the hospital.
