At Zion • Clear Lake, we believe in fostering connections that help you belong to a community of believers who believe in Jesus and strive to become disciples and share God with the world. Becoming a member of Zion • Clear Lake isn't just about attending services; it's about becoming part of a family that supports, uplifts, and grows together in faith.
What is the New Members event?
Join us for an evening where you will have an opportunity to get to know the staff, ministries, and all about Zion. We'll discuss our vision and values, our identity in Christ, what makes us Lutheran and membership requirements/expectations.
You will have the option to sign membership papers but this is not required. You can simply come to check things out.
Childcare is provided as well as snacks, dinner and dessert!
What is required to become a voting member?
To become a voting member at Zion • Clear Lake, you need to have been baptized and confirmed.
During the meeting, we do run through a Confirmation course of sorts, so we've got you covered there. However, we do not typically run baptisms at this event. We do have loads of opportunities to be baptized throughout the year which can be found here and do accept any prior baptisms meaning you don't need to be baptized at Zion.
