Media production coordinator

Position Overview
  • This position works closely with both the Communications Director and Worship Director to produce videos, sound production, and other technical implements to reach the overall vision of Zion
    • All projects must align with the vision of the church
    • All projects are expected to be completed by the assigned deadline
  • Inventory & manage video and production equipment 
  • Inventory & manage photography equipment
  • Work with the Communications and Worship Director to update equipment as needed

Position Responsibilities
  • Video Production
    • Capture b-roll at Zion events as needed 
      • (Sunday services, children’s/youth ministry, baptisms, adult ministries, special events, etc.) 
    • Manage, organize, and store b-roll from events for archive and future project use
    • Develop videos as needed at the request of Executive Staff and Ministry Directors
      • Projects Approved by the Worship Director and Executive Staff
    • Assist with photography as needed 
    • Build teams and train volunteers as needed to assist with photo and video capture
    • Assist in brainstorming, capturing, creating, editing and exporting of material for various projects including but not limited to: ministry highlights, recap videos, weekly podcasts, ministry event promotional videos, sermon bumper videos, testimonial videos, and short videos
  • Worship Production
    • Assist with training and investment in volunteers to run production equipment well and in a safe environment
    • Set up / tear down of production equipment for events (examples: Church at the Surf, Church in the Park)
    • Assist in troubleshooting and fixing technical issues with sound, livestream, lights, and band equipment at both The Dock and Traditional buildings

Additional
  • Articulate, champion, and share the importance of Zion’s mission and vision amongst the staff and church body.
  • Work scheduled hours, communicate to the Executive Director and/or your direct supervisor when you can’t be to work/meetings on time, appointments, vacation, and sick days. 
  • Check/Respond to emails/texts/phone calls in a timely manner.
  • Attend scheduled meetings, department meetings, and staff meetings and exemplify staff core values. 
  • Communicate when you need help or training. 
  • Worship, read books, podcasts, etc., to grow as a leader.
  • Planning and prayer over the ministry.
  • Do something to appreciate your volunteers – Celebrate what God is doing. 
  • Podcast team and sermon read-throughs when necessary.
  • Attend at least one corporate worship service a week.
  • Attend all church functions, worship services, and meetings as requested by the Executive Team.

Proficient in the Following
  • ProPresenter, Final Cut/PremierPro or equivalent, Office Suite/G-Suite or equivalent, Apple Motion/After Effects or equivalent, Logic Pro, Planning Center, Light-Key, camera equipment, (photography/videography), production equipment, OBS
