They said just follow your heart, just follow your dreams...

But the father of hearts, and the maker of noses, and the giver of dreams, he's the one I've chosen.

And I will follow him.

Lent 2026

Walking the Ancient Path

Feeling swept away by the frantic pace of the world? This Lent, we invite you to pause at the crossroads and seek a deeper way. Walking the Ancient Path is a weekly series designed to help you reorient your life around the story of Jesus rather than the pull of secular culture.
Through intentional themes like Death, Rest, and Grace, this companion offers:
  • Daily Scripture Readings: Focused reflections to ground your mornings.
  • Weekly Spiritual Practices: Tangible ways to live out the Gospel.
  • Traditional Disciplines: Guidance on fasting, almsgiving, and prayer.
  • The Daily Examen: A simple tool for evening self-reflection.
Join us as we practice the art of "turning"—away from the noise and toward the rest found only in Christ.

The Magnificent Story

How do you know if the story you're living out of is a shrunken story? Ask yourself a simple question: What was God doing before creation?

If your answer is not centered around God existing as Trinity—father, son, and spirit as a life-giving relationship of unity—you might be living from a shrunken story, missing out on the beauty, goodness, and truth we were made for.

At Zion • Clear Lake, we hope that every regular attender will do three things. First, make weekend worship a regular priority. When you cannot make it in person, we offer online engagement so that you can stay connected. Second, find a place to serve that is life-giving. And third, look for ways to meaningfully connect on a regular basis with other believers for spiritual growth and community.

Connecting at Zion • Clear Lake can look different than just a traditional Sunday School class and pre or post-service fellowship. You can make friends in a social circle while gathering around a hobby, shared interest, or cause. You can get connected at our larger Sisterhood or Brotherhood gatherings. And you can do life with others in a small group.

Are you ready to get connected but would like some help finding the right group? Check out our Circles Group Finder!
